Aztec Shops is responsible for operating the Campus Bookstore and many restaurants, Catering and Concessions on the campus of San Diego State University. Our workforce consists of primarily SDSU students. We offer a variety of positions in fun and diverse environments, with the goal of helping college students gain valuable work experience while keeping education their number one priority.

Employment Verification

All employment verification requests must be done in writing, with a signed release from the current or former Aztec Shops employee. With a signed release, the company will disclose position and length of employment. For some student positions and intern positions on campus, at the company’s discretion and with a signed release, the company may disclose work performance as it would relate to the position or internship for which the employee or former employee is applying.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION REQUESTS

Aztec Shops has a strict policy regarding disclosing a current employee’s employment information, to include Employment Verification, Reference Checks and Letters of Recommendation. Dates of employment and position will always be released, but a signed release is required for the disclosure of any other information (i.e. pay, performance history).

If the time comes where you wish to resign, we ask that you give a written or e-mailed two-week notice of when your last work day will be so we can schedule you accordingly. Employees will be paid their final paycheck in accordance with current CA law.
